The late Ebony Reigns tragically passed away on February 8, 2018, in a car accident. Remembering her six years on, Afua Asantewaa posted a video of her singing one of Ebony’s songs along with a heartfelt message, expressing her continued love for the late musician.
Afua Asantewaa’s followers on Instagram were moved by her tribute to Ebony. Many of them expressed their appreciation for honoring Ebony’s memory with the video, especially since Afua Asantewaa had used several of her songs during her Guinness World Record sing-a-thon attempt.

In a separate news event, it was reported that Ebony Reigns’ family and friends, led by her parents, visited her grave on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of her passing on February 8, 2024.
