The ongoing debate about the impact of the name change from Vodafone to Telecel on the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has left many fans curious about what the future holds for the prestigious awards scheme. However, the Public Relations Officer for Charterhouse, Robert Klah, has assured fans that an update on the name change will be provided in due time.

During an interview with Doreen Avio on the Daybreak Hitz, Klah emphasized that the name change will depend on the terms of the contract with the headline sponsor. He stated, “It depends on the negotiations and details in the contract… There are different levels of the contract, and what the contract spells out is what you follow.”

Klah also encouraged fans to remain calm, as the official name of the VGMA is yet to be determined and assured them that award nominations are still open until the 29th of February, 2024.

He also revealed that submissions for the awards are still open and encouraged aspirants to visit www.entry.ghanamusicawards.com and submit their entries. The deadline for submissions is the 29th of February, providing ample time for artists to enter the awards.

Overall, the future of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards continues to be a topic of interest among fans and industry insiders, and the update on the name change will be eagerly awaited.
