Industry stakeholders in Ghana’s Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts sector are eagerly anticipating the appointment of a new minister.
With various opinions circulating, Francis Doku, Chief Operations Officer of Plugin Digital Limited, and host of the Africa Rising Podcast, has suggested that Kojo Bonsu, former boss of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, is the ideal candidate for the position.
In an interview with Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, Francis emphasized Kojo Bonsu’s business acumen and experience, stating that he is well-equipped to manage projects on a larger scale and engage with investors effectively.
Despite his endorsement, Francis also acknowledged the likelihood of Dzifa Abla Gomashie being selected for the role.
Joining the chorus of support for Kojo Bonsu is Austine Woode, a broadcaster based in the United Kingdom.
However, other industry stakeholders have proposed alternative candidates such as creative entrepreneur Baba Sadiq, musician Rex Omar, actress Abla Dzifa Gomashie, actor John Dumelo, and actress Ebi Bright.
