Ghanaian Gospel sensation, Diana Hamilton, recently shared her thoughts on the significance of authenticity in Gospel music.
She highlighted the importance of both the message and the messenger aligning in Gospel music. In an interview on “Daybreak Hitz” with DJ Slim, Diana emphasized the need for the message and messenger to be in sync in the world of Gospel music.
She also addressed the topic of secular musicians transitioning to Gospel music, stressing the importance of genuine faith and conviction.
When asked about collaborating with secular artists on songwriting, Diana mentioned that she hasn’t encountered that situation as God has gifted her with songwriting abilities that resonate with her faith.
This conversation comes in light of discussions surrounding the Telecel Ghana Music Awards’ decision to make its Gospel categories exclusive to mainstream Gospel musicians. Diana mentioned that in religion, people tend to protect their territories.
