The renowned Harmonious Chorale-Ghana is gearing up to mark its 17th anniversary with a spectacular concert titled “Symphony and Steps” on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Wesley Towers in Accra.
This milestone celebration comes in the wake of the choir’s successful debut in the United States of America, where they wowed audiences in Texas and New York in September 2024, under the auspices of the Ghanaian Community Presbyterian Church.
With a track record that includes being crowned 2018 Champions of the World Choir Games Category C28 in South Africa and winning four Gold awards, the Harmonious Chorale is composed of a talented group of singers and musicians.
Dr. George Agyekum Donkor, the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the choir and President of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development, expressed his confidence in the choir’s ability to surpass all expectations at the upcoming concert.
He also emphasized the importance of this performance in opening doors and attracting more individuals to join the Harmonious Chorale family, with a focus on nurturing the youth in arts, education, and science.
Under the direction of renowned composer James Varrick Armaah, the choir is poised to deliver a memorable evening of music and celebration. Dr. Joyce R. Aryee serves as the permanent mother of the choir, bringing her wealth of experience and leadership to the group.
The concert, scheduled to commence at 6 pm, promises to be a night of musical excellence and camaraderie.
