Gospel Singer Tansy Ewoenam, widely known as Tansy, recently opened up about the inspiration behind her latest song “Favour” during a conversation with her pastor, Pastor Francis Aubyn, at church service.

The emotional experiences and background story behind the song’s lyrics were unveiled during this discussion.

Amid the Covid era, Pastor Francis Aubyn’s sermon on favor deeply resonated with Tansy. After being laid off from work while working alongside her former coworker, Tansy found herself facing financial distress. One night, as she tearfully returned home, she was surprised to wake up the next morning and hear what seemed like someone singing uplifting words to her as she washed. “Your time is here! Your season is here! Your testimony is here! The lines are falling onto you in pleasant places! You are favored above everything!” She instinctively started singing the song.

Tansy firmly believes that the song lifted her from dark times and can bring God’s presence to anyone who listens. Although she didn’t fully grasp the significance of the lyrics at the time, she has witnessed their manifestation in her life.

Encouraging others to view the song as more than just a tune, Tansy urged individuals to sing it as a declaration, prophesying positivity into their lives wherever they go. She also expressed gratitude for serving under Pastor Francis Aubyn and sees the powerful words in the song as a prayer for the congregation.

Teaming up with The Keeper’s Music from The Keeper’s Chapel International, the soul-lifting single “Favour” is now available on YouTube and various music streaming platforms.
