Nigerian artist, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, was a victim of robbery at his music studio in Sango-Ota, Ogun State.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning, leading to the loss of valuable studio equipment worth millions of naira. Portable made the unfortunate revelation on his Instagram stories, pointing to a premeditated attack aimed at causing him harm. The singer expressed gratitude that he escaped unharmed, calling attention to the need for caution.
In the aftermath of the robbery, Portable shared a video of the ransacked studio with a message written in Pidgin: “Evil people around me. Thank God say man no be God. Big God go do am again. ZehNation studio.”
He further bemoaned his ordeal, stating, “ZAzuu Life f**k me up times without number. Thank God I don carry my AjeOlokun follow body trust nobody Dr ZEHNATION CEO EYON DOP Olopa ma ko everybody Ayoyin koni dale Run 000000000 KESARI No Dey House Ajao get chance eni simi ninu adugbo”.
Speaking in Pidgin in videos shared on his Instagram stories, Portable urged caution, hinting at being targeted by individuals close to him.
He warned, “Trust nobody. If you dey comot, carry your ‘aje’ follow body. They have always wanted to burst my studio. Hustle o, so that another man’s property will not enter your eyes. It is those that are close to me that did it. Hungry wants to finish them, They will beg me for help. Yet, they are still coming to steal from me.”
Portable’s unfortunate experience highlights the need for increased security and vigilance, even within trusted circles.
