Root Eye, a known figure in the Hiplife music scene, has shared his thoughts on the recent controversial article written by Nana Kojo Mula titled “10 Artists Essential to Ghanaian Hiplife”.
In light of Stonebwoy‘s response to the article, Root Eye expressed his views on the matter.
While Root Eye acknowledged that Stonebwoy may not fit the traditional Hiplife mold, he emphasized the artist’s efforts in promoting Ghanaian music on a global scale.

In a phone interview on Daybreak Hitz with DJ Slim, Root Eye commended Stonebwoy for his groundbreaking achievements in the music industry.
He referred to Stonebwoy as “Honourable Satekla” and praised him for being a remarkable ambassador for Ghanaian music.
Root Eye highlighted the milestones that Stonebwoy has achieved, surpassing many of his predecessors in the industry.
Root Eye stated, “The guy is living the dream that most of us had and couldn’t attain.
We are living through him, we are living out dreams through this guy, so we cannot water down his contribution or the role he is playing for us at the moment.”
