Iconic Dancehall/Reggae artiste Livingstone Etsa Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, continues to solidify his status as a global music icon with his recent win at the prestigious Ghana Music Awards UK 2024.
Stonebwoy was awarded the highly coveted Artiste of the Year accolade at a star-studded event held at the Meridian Grand in London on November 30.
The ceremony was attended by a host of Ghanaian music heavyweights, including King Ayisoba, Joseph Matthew, Fuse ODG, Akosua Agyapong, Mr Drew, and Epixode.
The night was filled with celebrations as legendary singer Akosua Adjepong was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, and Ofori Amponsah and Mark Darlington received Special Honoree Awards.
Originally scheduled for October 29, 2024, the event was postponed to November 30, 2024, due to unforeseen circumstances. Notably, Sarkodie, one of the headline acts, was unable to attend.
In addition to Stonebwoy’s win, other notable artists who took home awards included Joseph Matthew, King Promise, Mr Drew, and Sarkodie. The full list of winners spanned various categories, showcasing the diverse talent within the Ghanaian music industry.
