Richie Mensah, the talented Ghanaian singer-songwriter and CEO of Lynx Entertainment, recently shared some valuable insights into the music industry during an interview on Daybreak Hitz with DJ Slim.
Addressing rumors about artistes leaving the label, Richie clarified that only three artistes currently have a 360 record deal with Lynx.
These artistes include KiDi, DJ Vyrusky, and DSL. He also revealed that some of the artistes who have departed the label still have distribution contracts with him.
Explaining the difference between a 360 deal and a distribution deal, Richie stated, “A 360 deal means we handle everything for you. But the distribution means we are handling your music out there.”
Richie underscored the importance of hard work, strategic planning, and understanding the nuances of various artiste deals in the music industry. He emphasized that the more valuable an artiste is, the more services they can receive.
