Richie Mensah, the CEO of Lynx Entertainment, has addressed the misconception that artists’ careers take a downward turn after leaving the record label. In an interview on Daybreak Hitz with DJ Slim, Richie explained that the challenges artists face when going independent contribute to this perception.

“Music business is hard. When an artist leaves a setup like Lynx Entertainment and they are on their own, it is difficult. They are not cursed, it is difficult,” Richie clarified.

He emphasized that Lynx Group’s success is a result of the collective effort of approximately 60 employees who work on various aspects of an artist’s project. Richie pointed out that when artists leave and do not have the resources to employ as many people, the quality of work decreases, leading to a decrease in output.

Richie also cautioned against solely measuring success by numbers, suggesting that success should also be measured by the effort put into the work and the profit margins. Lynx Entertainment has worked with various musicians over the years, including Eazzy, MzVee, Kuami Eugene, and KiDi, who are currently signed to the label.

The discussion sheds light on the challenges artists face in the music industry and highlights the importance of resources and support in sustaining a successful music career.
