The annual Rhythms On Da Runway event took place in a grand and vibrant Kente Edition, drawing in industry professionals and fashion enthusiasts to witness the incredible creativity on display.
This year marked the 12th edition of the event, showcasing the African fashion narrative on a colossal scale.
The festivities kicked off with a glamorous green carpet reception, where attendees mingled, enjoyed drinks, and snapped photos against stunning artistic backdrops. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, setting the stage for the main event in the Grand Arena.
Poet Apiokor set the tone for the evening with captivating Kente poetry, emphasizing the importance of honoring Ghana’s rich heritage. Hosted by Jerry Adjorlolo and AJ Akuoko Sarpong, the evening was filled with excitement and entertainment.
Top models strutted down the runway in exquisite designs from renowned designers such as Ophelia Crossland, Velma’s Millinery and Accessories, Yaws Creation, and more.
The showcase was accompanied by performances from Edem, Amandzeba Nat Brew, and other talented artists, culminating in a surprise appearance by Stonebwoy.
During his performance, Stonebwoy advocated for peace ahead of the upcoming elections, spreading a message of unity and harmony. The event also recognized the contributions of individuals like Agya Koo Nimo and Chief Dele Momodu to the creative arts industry.
Since its inception in 2010, Rhythms On Da Runway has served as a platform for celebrating the diversity and talent of African fashion and music.
