The National Industrial Court has affirmed the legitimacy of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) election, which took place on October 24, 2023, resulting in Pretty Okafor’s reemergence as President.
Justice M.N Esowe ruled in favor of Okafor’s leadership, stating that any disregard for the ruling would be considered contempt of a court of competent jurisdiction.
The association expressed its gratitude to the National Industrial Court for upholding justice and preserving the democratic process within the organization. PMAN emphasized its commitment to advancing the interests of performing musicians in Nigeria and upholding the rule of law.
The court ruling serves as a strong stand against illegitimate actions that could compromise the integrity of the performing musicians’ community, reinforcing the association’s dedication to upholding the rule of law.
