Gospel singer Piesie Esther recently revealed the touching story behind her hit song ‘Okuraseni.’ In an interview on Joy Prime’s Changes Show with Roselyn Felli, she shared how she was inspired by a woman in her community who faced extreme hardships until one of her sons brought a positive change into their lives.

Piesie Esther recalled how the woman’s son, who was considered troublesome by many, disappeared from the village and was presumed dead. To everyone’s surprise, he reappeared one day with a car, having made a successful life abroad. He then relocated his mother to join him, turning their lives around.

This heartfelt experience prompted Piesie Esther to compose the song ‘Okuraseni’ in 2017, which means ‘Villager.’ She considers it her favorite song among all her works.
