Elijah Kwame Owusu Danso, a former member of the music group Echo, has shared his experience of facing criticism after being appointed as the running mate for Alan Kyerematen, the Presidential Candidate for Movement for Change.
In an interview with Lexis Bill on Joy FM’s ‘Personality Profile’, Kwame, also known as E-Nice, revealed that despite receiving good wishes, some individuals tried to undermine his appointment by referencing a song he released years ago called ‘Gologolo’.
He explained that certain people, driven by political biases, attempted to divert attention from his qualifications and achievements to focus on his past in music. However, Kwame emphasized the positive impact of music on individuals, stating that it has the power to uplift and inspire.
Interestingly, the criticism he faced only increased his visibility, with more people showing interest in learning about him. Kwame highlighted that the negative comments ultimately led to a surge in views of his music video, demonstrating a curiosity about his background.
Regarding his decision to accept the nomination as Alan Kyerematen’s running mate, Kwame mentioned that he was drawn to Alan’s commitment to empowering the youth and promoting change in leadership roles.
