Ghanaians will have the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah at Trigmatic’s Osagyefo’s Night Concert on October 4, 2024, at Alliance Francaise.
This event follows the recent holiday commemorating Ghana’s first President on his birthday, September 21, 2024.
Trigmatic, a well-known artiste, shared that this will be the third edition of the concert, which was inspired by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s significant contributions to Ghana, particularly in the areas of arts and theatre.
During an appearance on Joy FM’s Drive Time, Trigmatic expressed how his travels around Africa highlighted the strong association between his country and Dr. Nkrumah.
The concept for the concert was born out of a desire to honor Dr. Nkrumah’s dedication to the arts, as shared by Trigmatic and his friend Antoine Mensah.
Trigmatic emphasized the importance of recognizing Dr. Nkrumah’s support for the arts industry and the need to celebrate his legacy through events like Osagyefo’s Night.
The upcoming concert will feature storytelling performances, an art exhibition, and live music from Trigmatic and other Ghanaian musicians.
For the first time, theatre will be incorporated into the event, connecting Trigmatic’s narrative to Dr. Nkrumah’s story. With about 20 live performances alongside the Adwenpa Band, Trigmatic is set to entertain the audience with a mix of music and theatrical elements.
