Ghanaian musician and cultural ambassador, Okyeame Kwame, stole the show at the Earthshot Prize event in South Africa with his stunning outfit.

The event, held on November 6, 2024, saw Okyeame Kwame donning traditional Ghanaian kente cloth, making a powerful cultural statement.

In a Facebook post, Okyeame Kwame shared his experience standing next to Prince William of Wales at the prestigious event.

He expressed his gratitude for the advice he received from his followers to represent his African heritage by wearing the beautiful kente cloth. The award-winning musician thanked Earthshot Prize and Multi Choice Group for organizing the event, as well as Prince and Princess of Wales for the invitation.

The Earthshot Prize aims to celebrate individuals who provide innovative solutions to climate and environmental challenges. The 2024 winners were announced at a glamorous ceremony in Cape Town, South Africa, hosted by renowned personalities Billy Porter and Bonang Matheba.

Inspired by former US president John F. Kennedy’s Moonshot project, the Earthshot Prize challenges scientists and innovators to tackle environmental issues with groundbreaking solutions.
