Ghanaian YouTube personality Kwadwo Sheldon recently received a special surprise from Nigerian striker Victor Okoh Boniface.
Unboxing the package in a video he posted on social media, Sheldon revealed that the package contained signed jerseys from Boniface’s club, Bayer Leverkusen.
Sheldon humorously claimed that the package was an attempt to bribe him to stop trolling Nigerians, especially after they lost the 2023 AFCON to the host country, Côte d’Ivoire. Despite the thoughtful gesture, Sheldon made it clear in his caption that he has no intentions of stopping the banter, as he considers it an everlasting part of his relationship with Nigerians.
This gift comes at a time when the Super Eagles failed to clinch the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) trophy, with the host country Côte d’Ivoire emerging as the champions with a 2-1 win.
Meanwhile, Sheldon’s recent video antics, where he was seen ditching his Black Stars jersey for a Super Eagles jersey, caused a stir on social media, drawing mixed reactions from Ghanaians and Nigerians alike.
It’s evident that Sheldon’s lighthearted trolling of the Nigerian football team has caused quite a buzz on social media, with the friendly banter between the two countries continuing through this thoughtful yet unsuccessful gesture by Victor Boniface.
