NFA honors young writers under its Script Bank Project

The National Film Authority [NFA] recently held an event to celebrate the young and talented writers who participated in its Script Bank Project.

The event, which took place at the Accra Tourism Information Centre on Friday, November 15, 2024, aimed to provide a platform for writers under the age of 25 to showcase their creativity through storytelling.

Throughout the year, these budding writers dedicated their time and effort to crafting their scripts, with a focus on featuring the iconic Ananse Character in their stories.

The event recognized the best scripts that captured the essence of this beloved character and showcased exceptional storytelling skills.

One standout winner of the Ananse Scriptwriters Competition was Nana Akosua Asiedu Ansah Asare, who impressed the judges with her story titled “Seamless Heist.” For her outstanding work, she was awarded a cheque for GHC 5,000.

The NFA’s Script Bank Project continues to provide a platform for young creatives to hone their skills, share their unique perspectives, and contribute to the vibrant storytelling landscape in Ghana.
