Abosede, the mother of the late singer Mohbad, has shed light on why her son chose to keep his wedding to Omowunmi and the birth of his son private.
According to her, Mohbad faced threats and pressure from his former label boss, Naira Marley, which led him to keep these significant events under wraps.
In a recent live TikTok session, Abosede expressed her concerns and frustration over the ongoing controversy surrounding the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam.
She accused Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, of delaying the DNA test to confirm the child’s paternity, despite her and Omowunmi’s readiness to proceed with the test.
Abosede firmly defended her son, stating that Mohbad was a good man and vehemently denying any rumors linking him to drug trafficking.
She also recalled how Aloba, just days before Mohbad’s tragic death, had taken pictures with Liam, which suggested that he never doubted the child’s paternity.
Addressing another controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death, Abosede clarified that Mohbad’s brother, Adura, was not involved in contacting actor Yomi Fabiyi with information about the singer’s passing.
She accused Yomi of attempting to frame Adura based on false claims from another individual, Damola, who was connected to the case.
Mohbad passed away under controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023, and his body was later exhumed for an autopsy.
However, family tensions and unresolved issues continue to dominate the headlines, leaving the public questioning the true intentions of those involved.
