Ghanaian actor and broadcaster, Mikki Osei-Berko, has hinted at a possible return to politics in a recent interview with Joy Prime.
Mikki, who previously served as an Assembly Member for the Ayidiki Electoral Area in Accra, expressed his interest in becoming a parliamentarian.
In the interview, Mikki shared his thoughts on the current state of governance in the country, stating that there are opportunities for creativity and business-oriented governance that have not been explored by the current parliamentarians.
He believes that there are ways to generate revenue and support the citizenry beyond just taxes and borrowing money.
Reflecting on his previous experience in politics, Mikki revealed that he ran as an independent candidate on the inspiration of God, and against the odds, he emerged victorious.
However, he had to cut his term short to pursue further education abroad. He attended the New York Film Academy to study film production and believed that educating himself would make him a better leader in the future.
Despite his success in the entertainment industry, with memorable roles like Kokonsa on Radio Gold, Dada Boat, and Master Richard, Mikki Osei-Berko is considering a return to politics to make a positive impact on governance in Ghana.
