Ghanaian singer Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum recently paid a visit to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace during the Awukudae celebration on January 1, 2025.
The visit was a gesture of appreciation for the warm reception Asantewaa received from Otumfuo during her second attempt to set a Guinness World Record at the Baba Yara Stadium in December.
The Asantehene commended Asantewaa for her bravery and determination, acknowledging her efforts to raise Ghana’s profile on the global music stage.
Accompanying Asantewaa to the palace were Kwame Adinkra, Kofi Owusu Aduonum, Gladys Owiredu, Isaac Amponsah, and Asare Daniel.
Asantewaa’s Guinness World Record attempt took place at the Heroes’ Park annex of the Baba Yara Stadium in the Ashanti Region from December 21 to 26.
The event garnered attention from both local and international audiences as Asantewaa showcased her endurance and talent through her musical performance.
