Jazz in January Festival returns to +233

The Jazz In January Festival is back for another exciting edition, scheduled to take place from January 1 to January 5, 2025, at +233 Jazz Bar & Grill. This festival, in collaboration with the Ghana Jazz Foundation, promises to deliver an impressive lineup of performers to welcome music lovers into the new year.

The schedule includes performances by renowned artists such as the Lipstick Queens on January 1, Native Vibe and West Coast Band on January 2, and Afro4 Band from Nigeria on January 3.

Bassist Etienne Mbappe and the GHJazz Collective, featuring American musicians Godwin Louis (saxophonist) and Simon Moulier (vibraphonist), will grace the stage on January 4. The festival will conclude with a Master Jam Session on January 5.

The Lipstick Queens, a leading band in Ghana, will kick off the festival with their vibrant tunes. Native Vibe, led by guitarist Bill Macpherson, will also be present to pay tribute to their late bassist Nee Sackey.

West Coast Band, known for their progressive take on contemporary popular music, will offer a delightful listening experience.

Afro4 Band from Nigeria, comprising talented musicians, will showcase their unique African sound and style for the first time at +233 Jazz Bar & Grill.

The festival will also feature the exceptional Cameroonian bassist Etienne Mbappe, Grammy Award-nominated saxophonist Godwin Louis, and vibraphonist Simon Moulier, who has garnered acclaim for his impressive discography.
