Renowned media personality, Kofi Adoma Nwanwani, has opened up about the traumatic experience that left him with severe eye damage, stating that there were moments where he wished he hadn’t survived the incident.

During an emergency meeting held on Thursday, March 13, Kofi Adoma shared details about the tragic event that occurred in December 2024 and provided an update on his recovery journey. His candid remarks come in the midst of widespread speculation and misinformation surrounding the incident.

Kofi Adoma was on assignment covering the Dormaa Kwafie festival in the Bono Region when he was accidentally shot in the face with a musket, resulting in serious eye injuries that required multiple surgeries.

Speaking at the meeting, he expressed disappointment at the false information circulating about his ordeal and the negative comments he had encountered. The burden of exorbitant hospital bills added to his despair, leading him to confess, “I am very disheartened. With some of the comments I was hearing about my situation from people, I wished I had died.”

The magnitude of his suffering, along with the financial strain of seven surgeries and extensive travel for treatment, weighed heavily on Kofi Adoma. Despite the challenges, he remains resilient in his recovery process.
