Ghanaian Reggae artiste Shasha Marley has recently made headlines with his comments on homosexuality.
In an exclusive interview with Black Rasta, as reported by blogger and journalist Attractive Mustapha, Shasha Marley made it clear that while he appreciates, loves and respects individuals who are gay or homosexual, he does not support their actions.
During the interview, Shasha Marley expressed his belief that it is not for humans to judge whether the act of homosexuality is a sin, and that this should be left to God’s judgment.
He urged both fans and society to show genuine love and compassion towards homosexuals, rather than constantly criticizing them.
Quoting the teachings of Jesus to love one’s neighbor as oneself, Shasha Marley emphasized the importance of embracing homosexuals without passing judgment, particularly for Christians.
He also addressed the question of whether homosexuality is demonic, acknowledging the possibility of negativity but disagreeing with the notion that it involves demons.
Shasha Marley’s comments have sparked a conversation about the treatment of LGBTQ individuals in Ghana, and have brought attention to the importance of showing love and compassion towards all members of society, regardless of sexual orientation.
