I had to put my career on hold for Kwaw Kese – Skonti

Ghanaian music producer and artist Skonti has made a bold decision to step back from his own music career in order to manage fellow artist Kwaw Kese. In an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Doreen Avio, Skonti revealed that he made this decision without even discussing it with Kwaw Kese.

“I decided to put my career on hold and just do it. I didn’t even tell him I was doing it,” Skonti said during the conversation. Despite his successful career as a producer, Skonti believes that every producer can also pursue a career in music if they put their mind to it.

Skonti has been managing Kwaw Kese for about three years and has learned a lot from the experience. “It’s been tough, but at least it’s teaching me a lot and enhancing my craft,” Skonti shared.

Although his fans miss him and have been asking for new music, Skonti claimed that he hasn’t released anything since ‘Dondo.’ While focusing on managing Kwaw Kese, Skonti has been producing music for him, including the hit song ‘Awoyo Sofo,’ which was a major hit in Ghana last year.

In the meantime, Skonti has released a new album titled ‘Woyo Deux,’ featuring seven tracks and collaborations with artists like Kodjo Badman and Kofi Mole.
