Renowned actress Dalyce Curry, known for her iconic roles in movies like Blues Brothers, Lady Sings the Blues, and The 10 Commandments, has sadly passed away at the age of 95.
Tragically, Curry’s remains were discovered after her home in Altadena was destroyed in a devastating wildfire that swept through the area. The Eaton Fire, which ravaged parts east of Los Angeles, caused widespread evacuations in Altadena and Pasadena.
Confirmation of Curry’s passing came from her granddaughter, who shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook. She recounted seeing her grandmother for the last time on Tuesday, January 7, before the wildfire struck.
Despite efforts to locate Curry following the fire, authorities confirmed on Sunday, January 12, that the beloved actress had perished in her home during the blaze. Her passing adds to the somber toll of at least 24 fatalities attributed to the Los Angeles wildfires.
