The Ghana DJ Awards recently hosted the Accra edition of the Guinness Ghana DJ Clinic at the Accra Tourist Information Centre.
The workshop, themed “Exploring the Business of Entertainment,” brought together professional and up-and-coming DJs and musicians for an educational discussion aimed at shaping the future of Ghana’s creative industry.
Key speakers at the event included Antoine Mensah, who discussed key insights and strategies for the business of entertainment.
Joyce Sackitey-Ahiadorme emphasized the importance of PR in elevating DJ brands, while Patrick Baa Abankwa urged DJs to diversify their income through strategic investments.
Olele Salvador highlighted the importance of business-focused collaborations between DJs and artists, encouraging DJs to identify opportunities in their partnerships.
Additionally, Mr. Addo-Yobo stressed the importance of reading for business growth in the creative industry.
The event also featured TMSKDJ, the reigning Female DJ of the Year, who shared her journey and encouraged DJs to build unique identities.
Networking opportunities were abundant, allowing emerging DJs to connect with seasoned professionals like DJ Toyor and King Lagazee.
The Accra edition of the Guinness Ghana DJ Clinic set the stage for the upcoming 12th edition of the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards on November 9 at the Grand Arena in Accra.
