Africa’s biggest disc jockey event, the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, is gearing up for its 2025 edition after the success of the 2024 episode.
The event is organized by Merqury Republic and is sponsored by Guinness Ghana, one of the leading total beverage companies in Ghana, and powered by Smirnoff.
The 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards Festival is set to take place on November 29, 2025, at the Palms Convention Center.
The theme for this year’s event is ‘Shake the Floor’, which aims to celebrate the relationship between DJs and music fans by highlighting the transformative power of music on the dance floor.
Merqury Quaye, the Creative Director of the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, explained that the theme is a tribute to the energy and passion that fans bring to the dance floor, creating unforgettable experiences through music.
The event will include a nationwide tour, Pub Fest, Ghana DJ Clinic, Ladies Concert, and Nominees Jam, with updates shared on social media leading up to the main event.
The Guinness Ghana DJ Awards is a significant event in the industry and serves as a barometer for measuring the success of DJs.
The 2024 edition featured performances from rappers Edem, Guru, and Keche, along with an ‘Old School vs New School’ battle between top DJs Andy Dosty and Merqury Quaye. DJ Lord OTB was crowned DJ of the Year, and DJ Mish won the Female DJ of the Year award.
