The 12th edition of the annual Guinness Ghana DJ Awards took place at the Palms Convention Centre in Accra on Saturday, November 9, 2024. DJ Lord OTB emerged as the DJ of the Year, triumphing over competitors such as DJ Loft, DJ Vyrusky, TMSK DJ, AD DJ, and DJ Millzy.
The event was graced with energetic performances by renowned artists like Edem, Guru, Keche, DJ Andy Dosty, DJ Lord OTB, and DJ Icon. Additionally, other notable winners included DJ Vyrusky, MC Portfolio, Mr. Shark, DJ Pho, and DJ Mish.
In the category of Discovery of the Year, DJ Vasty and DJ Sonatty clinched the top spots. The MC/Hypeman of the Year award went to Kojo Manuel, while MC Portfolio emerged victorious in his category.
DJs across various genres were acknowledged for their talent and dedication. Notable winners include DJ Pho for Event DJ of the Year, DJ Lord OTB for Afrobeat DJ of the Year, and DJ Mpesempese for Scratch DJ of the Year.
Furthermore, DJ Lord OTB and King Promise clinched the Artist DJ of the Year award, while DJ Vyrusky and Kuami Eugene’s collaboration, “Follow Who Know Road,” won DJ/Artist Collaboration of the Year.
In the regional categories, DJ Kellywan was honored as the Best DJ in the Ashanti Region, DJ Abigy Abigy stood out in the Western North category, and DJ Olasty took the title in the Eastern Region.
Overall, the 2024 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards celebrated the outstanding contributions and achievements of DJs and artists in the Ghanaian music industry.
