Grandview, the management and production banner founded by Matt Rosen and Jeff Silver, is partnering with the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Los Angeles in order to have its managers and clients support the next generation of youth via a multi-pronged public service initiative.
The company is creating multiple verticals consisting of philanthropy, hands-on service and client engagement that will assist the long-standing charity with what is described as an opportunity crisis facing young people in the city’s marginalized neighborhoods.
“Teaming up with the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Los Angeles is about investing in the future of our community,” said Grandview. “We envision a partnership that aligns with the Boys and Girls Club mission of ‘seeing is believing’ by empowering children to dream big, broadening their realm of career possibilities and helping create a path to potentially becoming our bosses someday.”
Operating under a “seeing is believing” approach, the company will offer mentorship opportunities in hopes to broaden the realm of career possibilities for the students. The company will bring in employees, clients and colleagues for various events over the next few years, while simultaneously generating attention, awareness and philanthropic fundraising.
Grandview will also institute service days for Grandview and invite clients to participate. One service day was already held on Feb. 14 and served as a kick-off to the partnership between the two organizations. Celebrating Friendship Day, the event celebrated the newly formed friendship of Grandview and its clients with the Boys and Girls Club but also served as way to bond the kids with one another. Future service days will be held throughout the year.
Grandview also plans to integrate clients into the program through exclusive screenings and Q&As showcasing their careers and journeys.
“Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles provides safe spaces for club members to explore new talents and dream big,” said the organization’s CEO Patrick Mahoney in a statement. “Grandview’s partnership will help us inspire the next generation of creative talent from historically under-resourced communities.”
