Country singer Luke Combs has taken to instagram to reflect on his week at the Grammys, specifically the performance of “Fast Car” with the iconic Tracy Chapman.
He shared several photos of his time in Los Angeles featuring himself, Chapman, Ed Sheeran, and even Taylor Swift.
In the caption, he expressed gratitude for the experience and for his team who made it happen, as well as for his wife who was there every step of the way.
In reference to his performance with Chapman, Combs wrote, “When it comes to the performance it’s still hard to process how amazing it really was to be up there on that stage. No doubt a defining moment of my career.”
He went on to express his sincerest thanks to Chapman for allowing him to be a part of her moment, expressing admiration for the impact she has had on his musical journey.
Similarly, Chapman took to Twitter in response to Combs’ message, thanking him for everything.
The Grammys marked her first public appearance since 2020. The performance itself was met with an overwhelmingly positive response, further cementing Combs’ status in the music industry.
Even though Chapman doesn’t make many public appearances, the collaboration was greeted warmly and certainly left a lasting impression.
