Kankan Bizin, the frontman of Dark Suburb, a Ghanaian alternative rock band, has expressed his concerns about the current state of the music industry in Ghana. In an interview with Joy News, he highlighted the industry’s failure to fully utilize available technical and business expertise.

Bizin pointed out that musicians in Ghana are often expected to take on roles beyond their musical talents, such as managing and promoting their own work. He believes that this underestimation of technical and business capacities could be hindering the industry’s growth and potential for global competitiveness.

Formed in 2014, Dark Suburb has made a name for themselves with their unique blend of alternative rock and Afro-Rock. The band’s mysterious persona and captivating performances have earned them a devoted following and opportunities to perform at sold-out concerts across the country.
