Award-winning Ghanaian Afrobeats artist and rapper, Bashir Annan, also known as Gambo, is making strides in the international music industry.
His recent networking session with US rap icon, actor, and entrepreneur, Snoop Dogg, further solidifies his growing connections in the American music industry.
Gambo, who has previously met with other American icons like Jermaine Dupri, Timberland, and Jim Jones, recently had a fruitful meeting with Snoop Dogg in Los Angeles, California. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the African pre-Grammy Awards Global Affairs event, where Gambo has been building valuable connections with top music executives.
During the meeting, Gambo briefed Snoop Dogg about his upcoming musical album, and the founder of Doggy Style Records and Owner of Death Row Records expressed his support and encouragement for the Ghanaian artist’s career.
In addition to his high-profile meetings, Gambo has been busy collaborating with fellow African musicians. He recently featured Nigeria’s Goya Menor on his street anthem, ‘Cut Soap,’ and Nigerian artist Lade on his inspirational single, ‘Nobody.’ Both songs have received significant attention in the music industry and have entered the Ghana top 100 charts.
