Ghana Month: Meet panel for Ga-themed conversation on Joy FM’s showbiz A-Z

Joy FM has handpicked a group of experts in the tourism, arts, and culture sectors for the upcoming edition of Showbiz A-Z on March 15, 2025. This special episode, in line with the Ghana Month celebration, will shine a spotlight on the Ga people and their contributions to tourism and the creative economy.

Entitled ‘The Journey of the Ga People: Their Role in Shaping Tourism and the Creative Economy’, the live broadcast will take place at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra. Hosted by Kwame Dadzie, the panel includes poet and Ga Cultural Activist Nii Kwardey Ntreh, Tourism Consultant Francis Doku, tour guide Emmanuel Nii Ayi Solomon, and Gideon Asare, the CEO of Adansi Travels.

During the four-hour broadcast from 2pm to 6pm, viewers can expect to witness a showcase of the rich Ga culture through music, dance, libation, and other cultural activities. The Bloku African Dance Theatre will also deliver a special performance as part of the festivities.

The discussion will delve into key Ga customs and traditions such as funeral rites, naming ceremonies, chieftaincy, and marriage ceremonies. The history of the Ga people and their influence on tourism, arts, and culture will be explored, alongside highlighting significant heritage sites and event spaces in Accra.

Joy FM has been committed to celebrating the culture, tourism, and arts of various tribes across Ghana during the month of March. Previous editions of the outdoor program have ventured to Cape Coast, Kumasi, and Mount Afadja, showcasing the diverse cultural heritage and tourist attractions of these regions.

Showbiz A-Z is a renowned magazine program that addresses issues related to culture, creative arts, and tourism. Regarded as the leading entertainment talk show on Ghanaian radio, it airs every Saturday on Joy 99.7FM. Hosted by Kwame Dadzie and produced by Philip Nai and Anita Teye, the show continues to captivate audiences with its insightful discussions and engaging content.
