The 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards nominations have been revealed, and a star-studded lineup of hip-hop artists will be vying for the top honors.
Hosted by Fat Joe, the Awards show will take place on October 15 in Las Vegas, showcasing the best in hip-hop music for the year.
Leading the pack with the most nominations is Megan Thee Stallion, who has secured a whopping 12 nods. Following closely behind are Kendrick Lamar with 11 nominations and Drake with 8.
Other top contenders include Cardi B, GloRilla, Metro Boomin, and Nicki Minaj, all receiving multiple nominations for their outstanding work in the hip-hop industry.
Unfortunately, no Ghanaian artists made the cut this year, despite past wins by Black Sherif, Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy.
Black Sherif clinched his first BET “Best International Flow” award in 2023 after missing out the previous year, while both Sarkodie and Stonebwoy have taken home a BET Hip-Hop award.
The list of nominees includes some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign, 2 Chainz & Lil Wayne, and Future & Metro Boomin for the “Best Duo or Group” category.
Burna Boy, Cardi B, and Kendrick Lamar are among those nominated for “Best Live Performer,” while artists like Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, and Nicki Minaj are up for “Lyricist of the Year.”
