Ebo Taylor releases new single, announces tour dates

Ghanaian music legend Ebo Taylor is back with a brand new single titled ‘Obi Do Woa’, teasing fans with a taste of his upcoming album ‘Jazz is Dead 021’ set to drop in October.

The highlife pioneer has been making waves with recent performances at renowned events like the We Out Here Festival and Hootananny in the UK, as well as Festivalle in Sicily.

Taylor’s vocal finesse shines on this track, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting album collaboration with Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad.

Recorded in Los Angeles at Linear Labs studio, ‘Obi Do Woa’ features members of the Ebo Taylor Family band from Ghana.

The project’s masterminds, Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, express their admiration for working with the Ghanaian legend.

‘Jazz Is Dead’ is a global initiative celebrating music and culture, led by music producers Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad.

The movement aims to honor music heroes like 89-year-old Ebo Taylor through live shows, visual content, and new analog recordings. ‘Jazz Is Dead 021’ marks the group’s third compilation installment.

On the horizon is a North American tour curated by ‘Jazz Is Dead’, where Ebo Taylor will perform alongside his Family band and Pat Thomas. The tour will reach new heights as Taylor makes his debut in Mexico and Brazil.
