The sudden and tragic death of Grace Boadu, a 46-year-old herbal doctor and CEO of Grace Gift Herbal Clinic and Laboratory Services, has sparked public debate. She was a well-known herbal doctor who gained popularity through her public education on herbal medicine on social media.
Grace Boadu passed away on Monday, January 29, at her home in Tantra Hills, Accra under mysterious circumstances. Her uncle, Akwasi Addae, revealed that she reportedly fell in the bathroom while she was alone in a locked room.
One of her staff members, also a herbal doctor, found her lying in the bathroom on Monday morning. According to the staff, she had just returned from South Africa the previous night and had requested food and financial assistance upon arriving home.
When the staff arrived with the food, they found her room locked, and she did not respond to their calls. Assuming she was asleep, they kept the food and waited for her to wake up. However, when she still did not respond to calls the next morning, the staff used a ladder to look into her room and discovered her lying naked in the bathroom.
After reporting the incident to the police, Grace Boadu was rushed to the Police Hospital in Accra, where she was pronounced dead.
Her uncle clarified that she was not married and had never been married, despite public speculation. Additionally, she had no children and was a native of Ejisu Abankro in the Ashanti Region.
Grace Boadu had a background in nursing, having studied at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and worked as a nurse for several years before transitioning into herbal medicine and establishing the Grace Gift Herbal Clinic.
