Adom FM’s DJ Promise, also known as “Aww Promise,” has once again been crowned the Best Radio DJ of the Year at the 5th Dangme Music Awards.
The event, which took place on December 1, 2024, in Kasseh, Ada, recognizes talent within the Dangme community, spanning across Ada, Ningo, Prampram, Shai Hills, Osudoku, Dodowa, and Somanya.
This victory represents a significant milestone for DJ Promise, who previously clinched the award in 2021, finished as the second runner-up in 2022, and has now reclaimed the top position.
His consistent success underscores his unwavering commitment to his craft as a radio DJ on Adom 106.3 FM.
After receiving the prestigious accolade, DJ Promise expressed gratitude and reiterated his dedication to his audience, stating, “The Dangme Music Awards Scheme has acknowledged my tireless efforts.
This recognition motivates me to have an even greater impact in the future, and I promise to deliver.”
Known for his distinctive moniker, “Aww Promise,” the DJ shared the inspiration behind his name, attributing it to the emotive power of music.
He explained, “Music is the nourishment of the soul. When certain lyrics deeply resonate with you, you instinctively exclaim ‘Aww,’ and that’s how I acquired my name.”
