Ghanaian Gospel sensation Diana Hamilton has recently shared the motivation behind her latest philanthropic endeavor of establishing a school project in Dodo-Tamale.

In a candid interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz, Diana revealed that a social media post by Adom FM presenter Afia Amankwah Tamakloe stirred her passion to make a positive impact on the lives of students in the community.

The post showcased children in a school lying on the floor while trying to write, emphasizing the lack of proper infrastructure. This heartbreaking sight prompted Diana to inquire about the location and subsequently embark on the project.

Upon learning that the school was located in the Oti Region and faced various challenges, including incomplete buildings and inadequate resources, Diana was deeply moved. Despite having previously engaged in charity works in urban areas, she felt compelled to focus on supporting those in rural communities who were in dire need.

Diana Hamilton and her team, though small in number, were dedicated to effecting change and improving the educational experience for students in Dodo-Tamale. Their efforts culminated in the commissioning of a five-unit classroom block at the Dodo-Tamale Basic School in the Kadjebi District.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place in January 2022, and after nearly three years of construction, the school building was completed in December 2024. The new classrooms have provided much-needed infrastructure, allowing the school to accommodate more students and enhance the learning environment.

In recognition of her unwavering commitment to community development, the chiefs and residents of Dodo-Tamale honored Diana Hamilton by appointing her as the Nkosuohemaa (Development Queen Mother) and bestowing upon her the stool name Nana Hemaa Adwoa Amponsah I.
