An 11-year-old Ghanaian student from Reggie The Queen Montessori School in Accra has taken a unique approach to promote peace ahead of the upcoming December 7 elections.
Minhyira Morrison, also known as Chayil Muziq, has composed a song titled “The Sound Of Unity” to encourage harmony and unity among political parties as the nation gears up for presidential and parliamentary elections.
With key presidential candidates such as Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, John Dramani Mahama, Alan Kyerematen, and Nana Kwame Bediako in the race, the stakes are high for Ghana’s future leadership.
As the young composer behind The Sound Of Unity, Minhyira Morrison is calling on all political leaders to prioritize peace before, during, and after the crucial December polls.
The song features messages from prominent figures such as Minister of Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Legal Practitioner Samson Lardy Anyenni, and Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Francis-Xavier Sosu.
At the launch event in Accra, Joojo Morrison, Minhyira’s father and manager, expressed his support for his daughter’s musical initiative and urged parents to nurture their children’s artistic talents.
He emphasized the importance of creating a peaceful and united environment where children can thrive and pursue their dreams without fear.
By promoting unity and progress through music, the team behind Chayil Muziq’s Sound of Unity is dedicated to building a better future for the youth of Ghana.
