Afrobeats sensation Davido has extended his congratulations to fellow artist Tems for clinching the Best African Music Performance award at the 67th Grammy Awards ceremony held in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Tems took home the prestigious accolade for her track ‘Love Me Jeje,’ adding to her previous Grammy win for her collaboration on Future’s hit song ‘Wait For U.’

Competing against heavyweights like Yemi Alade, Asake, Chris Brown featuring Davido & Lojay, and Burna Boy in the category, Tems emerged victorious, solidifying her place in the music industry.

This category, introduced just last year, was previously won by South African star Tyla for her single ‘Water.’

In a heartfelt Instagram Story post, Davido expressed his joy for Tems by declaring, “Congrats Queen!” The emotional moment continued during the awards ceremony as Tems paid tribute to her mother while accepting the award.

Acknowledging her team and loved ones, Tems shared, “Wow, dear God. Thank you so much for putting me on this stage and bringing me this team.
