Renowned South African actor, John Kani, has revealed plans to establish a learning space aimed at enhancing the skills and talents of African youths.
Kani, known for his role as T’Chaka in the movie Black Panther, emphasized that the training programs will focus on scripting, acting, and directing to elevate the African movie industry.
In an interview with Doreen Avio, Kani expressed his commitment to collaborating with the ambassador in order to create spaces for learning that will elevate the quality of African storytelling.
“We are looking for places to create learning spaces to upskill and upgrade qualities of script writing, acting, directing, and producing of African stories,” he stated.
Kani also shared that he is currently working on two different projects and will soon be returning to South Africa to prepare for the premiere of The Lion King, in which he is featured.
“I have to complete a movie I am doing in South Africa and then on the 9th probably be on the red carpet for the opening of The Lion King. I have been doing it for the past two projects now,” he mentioned.
With an impressive filmography that includes roles in Captain America: Civil War, The Lion King, and Murder Mystery, John Kani continues to be a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
