American music icon Beyoncé is gearing up to wow fans with a halftime performance during the National Football League’s (NFL) Christmas Day game this year.
The news was shared on Beyoncé’s official Instagram account and confirmed by game broadcaster Netflix. She is scheduled to perform during the matchup between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens.
Fans can expect to hear tracks from Beyoncé’s country-inspired album, Cowboy Carter, as she gives a live showcase of the album for the first time.
While the details of her performance remain a secret, Netflix, which will be streaming the NFL Christmas games, hinted that Beyoncé may have some special guests lined up to join her on stage. These guests are expected to be featured on the Cowboy Carter album.
Beyoncé is no stranger to performing at NFL events, having headlined the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in 2013 and later returning in 2016 to perform alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars.
This upcoming halftime performance adds to Beyoncé’s impressive list of accomplishments, coming right after she made history as the most-nominated artist in Grammys history with 11 nominations this season.
