Ghanaian singer Becca has announced that she will be making an official return to music on February 14, 2024. The announcement was made during an interview with Accra-based Hitz FM, where Becca spoke to Doreen Avio.
The singer revealed that she has found it difficult to watch her colleagues release music while keeping her own out of the market since her break from the music scene. Becca explained that her break was due to personal and familial reasons.
Despite being involved in entrepreneurial work in real estate and other industries, Becca emphasized that her love for music has remained unquenchable. She also expressed optimism about her comeback to music, despite having to balance her music career with other responsibilities.
Becca’s break from the music industry came after her marriage to Nigerian businessman and talent manager Oluwatobi Sanni Daniel in August 2018. According to Becca, marriage has profoundly transformed her life and character.
In collaboration with Highlife star Kwabena Kwabena, Becca will host fans and lovers for the Vitamilk Love Night on Valentine’s Day 2024. The event, which is also supported by R2Bees, Efya, Camidoh, Sefa, Lasmid, and others, marks Becca’s long-awaited return to music.
It is worth noting that in 2007, Becca and Kwabena Kwabena collaborated on one of the most beloved Highlife ballads of all time titled “You Lied To Me,” which was on Becca’s debut album, “Sugar.” The album also featured a collaboration with South Africa’s late music legend Hugh Masekela.
Becca’s return to music is highly anticipated, and fans and the music industry are excited to see what she has to offer after her time away from the spotlight.
