Achimota Retail Centre, known as Ghana’s most popular open mall and a top shopping destination, has announced an exciting lineup of activities for a month-long independence celebration campaign.
The campaign, titled “Ghana Month at ARC: A Celebration of Ghanaian Excellence”, aims to showcase the rich culture and diversity of Ghana in a fun and engaging way.
The Independence Day of Ghana falls on March 6th, and the country celebrates the entire month to highlight its history, heritage, achievements, and national pride. The Achimota Retail Centre is fully embracing the spirit of the celebrations by offering a unique experience to its shoppers and visitors.
Centre Manager, Alice Esi Coleman, expressed her excitement about the month-long celebration, stating that it will captivate everyone while fostering national pride and community unity. The mall has been adorned with classy decorations featuring national colors and Kente fabric, as well as a stunning effigy of the independence arch at the mall square.
Numerous activities are in store for the celebration, including a ‘Cultural Clash’ on Independence Day with live Ghanaian music and dance, a Ghanaian trivia walkway, a shopping bonanza, and a special women’s shopping event.
Additionally, there will be a Ghana Games Day with a traditional Ghanaian games competition and a live band session showcasing Ghanaian heritage.
The celebration will culminate in a grand finale on March 22 with a Ghana-themed live band session featuring performances of Ghanaian Highlife, Hiplife, and Afrobeat music. Shoppers can also look forward to exclusive deals, discounts, and promotions during this period.
In a show of community spirit, the University of Ghana Medical School will be offering complimentary health screenings for shoppers and visitors at the mall on Independence Day as part of their Hypertension Awareness Project.
