The Head of Public Events and Communications at Charter House, Robert Klah, recently revealed the reasons behind Amaarae’s decision to pull out of her performance at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
Prior to her scheduled appearance, the American-based musician expressed frustration on her X account, citing what she perceived as “incredible disrespect” from the TGMA production team.
Klah clarified that Amaarae’s withdrawal was the result of unmet expectations.
He explained, “I would summarise it as unaligned expectations. Indeed, there was a request that was not initially met, but eventually, it was fulfilled.” Despite efforts to address the issue, the artist chose to withdraw from the performance.
The issues between Amaarae and the organizers were reportedly resolved before the awards night.
Klah emphasized that while he preferred not to delve into specific details, steps would be taken to prevent similar situations in the future.
