The spectacular performance by Stonebwoy at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards [TGMA] was a masterpiece created by the talented creative director Elizabeth Efua Sutherland in less than a week.
Taking place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre[AICC] on Saturday, June 1, 2024, the 25th TGMA was a star-studded event with many celebrity appearances, but it was Stonebwoy’s performance that truly stole the show.
The renowned Afro-Dancehall/Reggae artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, not only clinched the prestigious “Artiste of the Year” award and walked away with the most awards of the night[6] but also captivated the audience with his live band.
During his performance, Stonebwoy wowed the crowd with hit songs like ”Manodzi” featuring the multiple Grammy-award-winning songstresses Angélique Kidjo and a yet-to-be-released track titled ‘Your Body”.
His electrifying performance was not only a treat for the 3 million viewers watching live but also left a lasting impression on fans worldwide.
In an interview with Ekow Koomson on The Chat – an entertainment show on ChannelOne TV, Elizabeth Efua Sutherland disclosed that she managed to create the exceptional stagecraft in less than a week, despite normally requiring 6 weeks for such a production.
Following in the legendary footsteps of her late grandmother, Efua Theodora Sutherland, a renowned playwright, dramatist, and poet, Efua Sutherland expressed her joy in working with “conscious artistes” like Stonebwoy.
