Ghanaian sensational actress and television presenter, Nana Ama McBrown, has recently responded to critics who are questioning her age of 46.
The debate was sparked by veteran actress Pascaline Edwards, who expressed frustration about being sidelined in the entertainment industry due to ageism.
In an interview with Pulse Ghana, Pascaline revealed that despite being almost 54 years old, she still possesses immense energy and vitality that surpasses many younger actors. This revelation led to speculation about Nana Ama McBrown’s age, with many casting doubt on her claims of being in her forties.
However, addressing these speculations head-on, Nana Ama McBrown confidently stated that she feels no obligation to prove her age to skeptics. She emphasized that people are entitled to speculate about her age as they please and highlighted the fact that she hadn’t even begun her acting career when Pascaline was already a celebrated figure in the industry.
During her Onua TV program, McBrown boldly stated, “If you want to think of me as an 85-year-old, that’s perfectly fine.” She further brushed off the impact of these opinions by asserting that they don’t affect her or her bank balance in any way.
