Amapiano sensation DJ Azonto has hit back at Hiplife icon Barima Sidney after he criticized Azonto’s request for $10 million from Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
DJ Azonto had previously demanded compensation for the unauthorized use of his hit song, ‘Fa No Fom,’ at a political rally. Barima Sidney dismissed the claim as unreasonable in a recent interview, but DJ Azonto stands firm in his belief that Dr. Bawumia should honor the request.
“Don’t pay attention to Barima Sidney; that’s why he is struggling financially. I plan to submit a petition to the Vice President’s office demanding full payment for the use of my song,” DJ Azonto responded. He also hinted at taking legal action if his demand is not met and announced the upcoming release of a new single titled “Dr Bawumia 10 Million Dollars” on June 1, 2024, to address the ongoing controversy.
DJ Azonto is set to drop his new single on June 1, 2024, titled “Dr Bawumia 10 Million Dollars,” to shed light on the issues surrounding the compensation claim.
